A vintage 9ct gold amethyst and diamond ring, dating to around the 1990s. The ring has a distinctive asymmetric setting, with a trillion cut amethyst and two natural diamonds set into one shoulder.

Description

A stylish vintage natural amethyst and diamond ring in 9ct gold, with a distinctive asymmetric design.

The centre stone is a trillion cut amethyst in a rich purple tone, held within a sweeping gold mount. One side of the setting curves over the top of the stone, while the opposite side opens around it, giving the ring a late 20th century style.

Two natural diamonds are set into one shoulder in rub over mounts, adding a discreet touch of brightness against the polished yellow gold. The other shoulder is smooth and plain, balancing the design while keeping the focus on the amethyst.

Inside the band is a Birmingham international style hallmark, dating the ring to around the 1990s. It is also marked DIA for diamond.

The trillion cut gives the amethyst a more contemporary feel than a traditional oval or round stone, making this an elegant and wearable dress ring with a little extra character.

The ring will be supplied in a brand new presentation box.

Good vintage condition with slight signs of wear. Professionally cleaned and polished, ready to wear or gift.
