Description

An early 20th century Art Deco period dish. The dish is formed from carved and polished green onyx with natural matrix inclusions. The onyx is probably from Brazil.  It is set with a male pheasant in bronze which has been cold painted in naturalistic colours. The base is covered in black fabric.
 
 

Condition

Generally good for type. A few chips around the bottom edge of the base.  A few minor knocks around the top rim.  Some wear to the paint on the pheasant but generally still intact.  See images for general presentation.
