Description

A vintage sterling silver and Baltic amber bracelet, dating to the 1980s.

The bracelet is set with graduated oval amber cabochons, the largest measuring approximately 20 x 15 mm. The amber has warm honey colour with cognac hints, and natural internal inclusions that give the stones character and interest. Each cabochon is set in a silver bezel, joined by decorative silver links.

The bracelet fastens with a spring ring clasp. The jump ring carries a Birmingham import mark with international convention mark, dating the piece to the 1980s.

Baltic amber is fossilised tree resin from the Baltic region and has been used in jewellery for centuries. It is prized for its warm colour, light weight and natural inclusions, which can vary from clear honey tones to deeper cognac and butterscotch shades.
