Description
A vintage very large statement brooch by Monty Don jewellery. It is in the form of a poodle dog with a chain connecting a bone making it a two part piece. The ear of the poodle is formed from four articulated crystal dropper strands. The crystals are clear aside black highlights. It has the Monty Don mark to the reverse of the main section and a safety roll over catch on both pieces.
The brooch dates to the 1980's and this is the same Monty Don who went on to gardening fame. Their costume jewellery was at the high end in the 1980's and was sold in upmarket retailers such as Harrods and pieces were even worn by Royalty. This poodle brooch is particularly rare with hardly any ever coming to market.
It comes with a presentation box which is unmarked so may not be original.
