Description

A vintage handmade sterling silver bangle of uncluttered design, centred by a substantial oval natural amber cabochon in a bezel setting. The broad polished silver band sets off the warm honey tones of the amber.

The amber displays the organic internal features that make each natural specimen unique. Rather than relying on decorative silverwork, the design follows a restrained approach seen in many artisan jewellery workshops during the late twentieth century, where the emphasis was placed on quality materials and balanced proportions.

The bangle is fitted with a sliding box clasp together with a secondary safety clip and safety chain for added security during wear. The inside of the band is stamped 925 for sterling silver and tests accordingly.

Condition

Good vintage condition with light surface wear consistent with age and careful use.

The clasp closes securely, while both the safety clip and safety chain remain present and function correctly.
