Description
A vintage sterling silver open cuff bangle set with an oval Baltic amber cabochon measuring approximately 23 mm x 18 mm. The amber displays typical warm tones with natural inclusions visible within the gem.
The silver mount is formed as an openwork cuff with scrollwork and stylised floral elements to either side of the amber setting. The design is characteristic of hand made artisan jewellery produced during the late twentieth century, with an emphasis on organic forms and individually crafted construction.
The bangle is marked 925 to the band and the open cuff construction allows the bangle to be slipped onto the wrist without the need for a clasp
