Description

The quality of this bracelet is in the link work. Two layers of closely woven silver links form a dense mesh, with a neat, even pattern across the band. It is very nicely engineered: substantial in the hand, yet supple enough to move easily around the wrist.

The polished links catch the light along their edges, bringing out the depth of the weave. Broad end caps decorated with curling leaves frame the slide clasp, adding a little ornament to the otherwise simple band. At just over 61g, this is a weighty piece of silver jewellery, with the construction to match.

Artisan made and dating to around the 1980s, the bracelet is possibly of Mexican origin. It is stamped 925 on the underside and tests as sterling silver. The fit is for wrists up to approximately 16.5cm and is not adjustable.
