Description
A vintage sterling silver traditional style charm bracelet. It has a heavy curb link chain of graduated link type. The links are marked with the lion mark for British silver. It has an extensive quantity of charms and these include:
A bell which opens to reveal a couple; .a horses head in horseshoe; a heart which opens to reveal two people kissing; a paint bucket with brush: a parking meter head which opens to reveal a car; a ship; a child in a tub; a car which opens to reveal a steering wheel; a car which opens to reveal an interior; an emergency break glass 10 pound note; a bust of Queen Elizabeth II; a boxer type dog; a steering wheel with St. Christopher centre; a helmet from a suit of armour with opening visor; a fish with open mouth and articulated tail and a lion.
Many of these charms are less common making this a very interesting set. It has a heart shaped padlock closure with safety chain, this is a bit larger than usual. To the reverse of the padlock is a hallmark from the Birmingham assay office with date letter for 1965. Most of the charms are likely of a similar period.
