Description

A vintage sterling silver necklace built from an unusual repeating link design. Each link takes the form of two opposing cones meeting at a narrow waist - a diabolo or double ended spinning top profile - with polished faceted surfaces that catch the light well along the full length of the necklace. The links are joined by short sections of fine round link chain that allow the necklace to move and drape freely when worn.

At approximately 93cm the necklace sits within the opera or flapper length range. It can be worn as a single long strand or doubled for a shorter layered effect.

It fastens with a T-bar and loop toggle. The T-bar clasp end carries a London import hallmark with the date letter for 1975 and the sponsor's mark CB.

Condition

Good vintage condition with light surface wear consistent with age and use. The links and connecting chain are in good order and the T-bar toggle functions correctly.
