Description

This vintage sterling silver money clip was made by William Manton and hallmarked in 1983.

The front face is decorated with closely spaced radial engine turning, creating a repeated geometric pattern across the rectangular surface. At the centre is a plain circular cartouche, left vacant for engraving.

The upper edge is smoothly folded to form the clip, while the reverse is plain polished silver. The hallmark is struck clearly to the lower section and includes the maker's mark WM together with the assay and date marks.

Condition

Very good vintage condition with only light surface wear consistent with age and use. The clip retains good tension and the engine turned decoration remains crisp.
