Description

A refined vintage wine coaster in sterling silver and turned oak.

The silver gallery has a pierced decorative design with a polished rim, giving the piece a bright and traditional appearance. Inside, the turned oak base is shaped with concentric rings, adding warmth and contrast against the silver.

The underside is finished with green felt to help protect table surfaces. The silver is clearly hallmarked to the exterior edge for London 1978, with maker’s mark DSS, probably for David Shaw Silverware Ltd.

Designed for use with a wine bottle or decanter, this is a classic piece of silver tableware: useful, decorative and easy to incorporate into both formal and relaxed dining settings.

Condition

Generally good vintage condition with some minor wear. There are a few marks to the felt on the underside.
