A vintage sterling silver bangle set with a large oval turquoise cabochon in the Native American style, hallmarked 925 with a London assay office import mark dating to around the 1980s.

Description

The centrepiece is a large oval turquoise cabochon in a cool blue tone with black matrix lines running through it. It sits in a hand made setting flanked by leaves and tendrils, giving the piece a naturalistic, craft quality that factory production rarely achieves.

To the inside of one arm, the bangle is marked 925. It also carries an official import mark from the London assay office under the international convention, typical of Native American influenced silver jewellery that was widely imported into the UK during the 1980s. The bangle is open-ended and can be adjusted to fit.

Condition

Good order with minor wear commensurate with age. Hand-made, so not a factory-perfect item - slight irregularities are part of the character.
