Summary

A vintage Tiffany & Co sterling silver brooch formed as two Scottish Terriers beneath a polished heart, supplied with a Tiffany pouch, presentation box and care card.

Description

Two Scottie dogs face one another beneath a smooth silver heart. Diagonal grooves give their stylised coats texture, contrasting with the polished heart above. The pair forms a symmetrical composition, with their noses meeting at the centre.

The reverse is marked © 1991 TIFFANY & CO 925. An official British import hallmark beneath the body bears the date letter for 1993, making this an early example of the design. The copyright date and import hallmark are separate markings.

The brooch measures 3.7cm across and is fitted with a hinged pin and rollover safety catch. It comes with its Tiffany & Co soft pouch, presentation box and care card.

Condition

Good vintage condition with only light age related surface wear. The silver has been carefully polished and presents very well. The hinged pin and safety catch are working correctly.

The Tiffany box, pouch and care card are included. The coin shown for scale is not included.
