Description
A vintage 10 carat gold ring with an elaborate mount and an oval facet cut smoky quartz gem. It is marked inside the band Trubrite which was a trademark for Basco Jewellers of Philadelphia USA. The trademark was first used in 1958 but not registered until 1966 and this ring likely dates to the 1960's. It is also marked 10K for the gold standard and we have tested the gold to confirm this.
The mount is of rope twist form with open work and decorative detail. The shoulders are bifurcated. The smoky quartz is approx 7 carats in size and a good deep tone with slight hints of aubergine.
