Description

An early 20th century Japanese Satsuma ware vase. It features figures with extensive gilt work and cell patterns with raises enamel. No makers marks to this example and from the style it is likely from one of the Kyoto kilns. It would date to the late Meiji or Taisho period.

Condition

Some gilt rubbing around the rim as typical for the period. Otherwise very good. The fine crazing is of course intentional on these items.
