Description
A sterling silver pendant necklace by David Scott Walker, featuring polished slices of Blue John to both faces of a rectangular heavy pendant. The stone displays the lovely banding associated with Derbyshire Blue John, with shades of lavender, purple and metallic shine from the backing.
The pendant is suspended from an open sinuous bale inspired by Art Nouveau designs. Feature hallmarks are struck around the edge of the setting, with Sheffield assay marks and the date letter for 2019. The pendant is suspended from a substantial sterling silver textured belcher chain fitted with a spring ring clasp. The chain is of heavier gauge than typically encountered and complements the scale of the pendant well.
David Scott Walker is a contemporary British silversmith and jewellery designer whose work frequently incorporates British ornamental stones, particularly Blue John. His pieces are hand finished in sterling silver and are noted for their clean, designs and quality craftsmanship.

Condition
Very good condition overall.
The pendant and chain display very light signs of wear. The Blue John panels are in very good order with no obvious chips or cracks, the Blue John does of course have natural features/flaws which is correct for this gem type. The hallmarks remain clear and legible.
