A pair of late 19th century Japanese Meiji period cast bronze koro. They are quite small in size and ideal for the collectors cabinet. Nicely cast relief panels of birds and prunus blossom, and the lids having foo dogs. Deep chocolate brown patination and attractive foot design. Twin tiger head handles with stylised tongues forming the handle section. No makers marks found.

Minor wear and the odd small knock, patination generally very good. One foo dog missing an ear. Nice examples for the cabinet.
