Description

A Royal Crown Derby fine bone china paperweight titled The White Hart, designed by Louise Adams. The recumbent white stag has a painted and gilded crown style collar set with painted jewels. Further gilded details define the face, coat and body, while the separately made gilt metal antlers have finely textured surfaces.

The oval base is decorated with an elaborate heraldic pattern in deep blue, turquoise, red and green, divided by extensive gold ornament. The White Hart was the third model in Royal Crown Derby's series inspired by heraldry, produced in a limited edition of 2,000 - this is number 1845.

The underside bears the Royal Crown Derby factory marks and the Roman numeral date code MMIV for 2004. Complete with its original gold stopper.

Condition

Very good condition with no noted chips, cracks or restoration. No original box or certificate.
