A vintage 18 carat gold half hoop stacker ring set with two natural sapphires and three white spinels, hallmarked in London for 1982.

Description

The ring is a half hoop design in 18 carat gold, set alternately with two natural sapphires and three white stones. The mount makes the white stones difficult to test conclusively, but they are most likely clear spinels. The stones sit in a neat row across the head, giving the ring a clean, understated line.

Inside the band there is a London hallmark for 18 carat gold. A date letter is present, difficult to read clearly but consistent with 1982. A maker's mark is also struck inside - possibly SC.

Sapphire is the birthstone for September.

Supplied in a complimentary brand new presentation gift box.

Condition

Some small nibbles to the facet edges, visible only under magnification. Very good for period. Cleaned, polished and ready to wear or gift.
