A vintage sterling silver money clip with fine engine turned decoration and a vacant rectangular cartouche suitable for engraving.

Description

A fine repeating engine turned pattern covers the front, framed by narrow polished margins. At its centre, a plain rectangular cartouche interrupts the decoration and remains free of engraving.

The reverse is plain polished silver, with the full Birmingham hallmark for 1989 and the maker's mark for W. H. Manton Ltd struck near the end of the clip.

Formed from a single folded section of silver, the clip has firm spring tension to hold folded banknotes. It measures approximately 50mm long and 18mm wide.

Condition

Good vintage condition with light surface wear from use.
